Parts & Pieces is an ever–evolving platform, shaped by the thoughts, materials, processes and interaction of the artists–craftists–designers involved.

With their individual practices based at wip:sthlm, one of Sweden’s biggest studio collectives, the group originally came together for Stockholm Craft Week 2022 showing a range of ceramic, textile, wood, stone, mixed media and performative works. For Gothenburg Craft Bienale 2024, they work towards Parts & Pieces #3 - Fragmentary Acts

Their curious and investigative approaches to process explore what materials can do but also what they can say. These seven women have a key ambition to open out their practice; to create ongoing conversation and exchange amongst each other and with wider audiences. With monthly ‘studio visits’, they support one another individually during the in–between stages of work in progress, and come together to find common ground through exhibitions.  

The group have connections to institutions such as Capellagården, Handarbetets Vänner Skola, Konstfack and Kungliga Konsthögskolan, and hold varied experience and knowledge within craft and design; as makers themselves but also in the form of teaching, leading workshops and creating public events.
